Former President Donald Trump recently rattled leftists over comments he made concerning illegal immigration during a rally in New Hampshire.

While speaking in Durham, New Hampshire, Trump honed in on the massive number of illegal immigrants that have poured right across the southern border since President Joe Biden took office.
“They let — I think the real number is 15, 16 million people into our country. When they do that, we got a lot of work to do. They’re poisoning the blood of our country,” the former president said at the rally.
“That’s what they’ve done. They poison mental institutions and prisons all over the world, not just in South America, not just to three or four countries that we think about, but all over the world. They’re coming into our country from Africa, from Asia, all over the world,” he added.
The left condemned Trump’s “poisoning the blood” reference, comparing the former president’s rhetoric to that of Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.
Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign took issue with the former president’s reference, claiming that he was “parroting Hitler.” The campaign argued that Trump has a plan “to lock up millions of people into detention camps.”
“Donald Trump channeled his role models as he parroted Adolf Hitler, praised Kim Jong Un, and quoted Vladimir Putin while running for president on a promise to rule as a dictator and threaten American democracy,” the campaign claimed in a statement.
“Trump is not shying away from his plan to lock up millions of people into detention camps and continued to lie about that time when Joe Biden obliterated him by over 7 million votes three years ago,” it continued.
Of course, the Biden campaign’s claims were echoed by MSNBC — an ally of the Democratic Party. MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said the former president was “literally channeling Hitler, talking about poisoning the blood of America.”
MSNBC host Kristen Walker also joined in on the controversy, asking Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) to address Trump’s remarks on immigration.
Walker asked Graham, who endorsed the former president in April 2023, whether the South Carolina senator is “comfortable” with Trump’s rhetoric.
“We’re talking about language. I could care less about what language people use as long as we get it right,” Graham replied.
