Locals Furious As Spring Breakers Dump Trash Into Ocean

Florida locals already fed up with the debauchery that accompanies the annual spring break invasion are outraged at the latest drunken acts. A group of revelers are clearly seen in viral video footage dumping two large cans of trash directly into pristine ocean waters.

The partygoers, some of the estimated 10,000 who descended onto the Boca Bash, emptied loads of trash into the Atlantic Ocean.

Local resident Rodrigo Samsing told WSVN that it is infuriating to witness someone so carelessly throwing their waste into the water. “You know, nobody else on the boat tried to stop them. Everybody was just celebrating.”

Samsing added, “I mean they already had the trash sitting in the garbage can, they could have just put a bag, grabbed a bag, filled it up and thrown it away. Instead they just dump it carelessly into the ocean. It’s just really sad to see.”

The boatful of celebrants were leaving the bash on Sunday and seen celebrating as they dumped their trash into the water.

Local officials confirmed that the litterers were identified and described their actions as “completely unacceptable.” The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and local police are investigating.

Federal law expressly forbids individuals from dumping garbage “from a boat while in lakes, rivers, bays, sounds and offshore within three miles of the ocean.”

Obviously embarrassed event organizers blasted the callous behavior of the young people. “It is irresponsible boaters like this that have zero care for our oceans that give this event a bad reputation.”

There is reportedly precious little formal organization for the yearly gathering near Boca Raton. Locals stay far away from the event which many claim gets crazier each year.

The identities of the boaters who trashed the blue waters have not been released.
