Iran To Retaliate Against Israel, Tells US Not To Interfere

The Iranian government recently asked the U.S. to not interfere in its plans to retaliate against Israel as the Holy Land fights Hamas, a terrorist organization.

Iran’s deputy chief of staff for political affairs Mohammed Jamshidi recently claimed on X, formerly known as Twitter, that his country’s government was in contact with the U.S. over the issue.

“In a written message, the Islamic Republic of Iran warned America not to fall into Netanyahu’s trap: step aside so you don’t get hit. In response, America asked Iran not to hit American targets,” Jamshidi wrote on X.

The Daily Caller reported that the U.S. government warned Iran not to use this excuse to attack American facilities and personnel. A spokesperson for the State Department told the outlet that the U.S. received a message from Iran but did not specify its contents.

Israel’s government recently launched a strike near Iran’s embassy close to Syria, killing multiple Iranian military advisors. The Biden administration later informed the country that the U.S. had “no involvement in the [Israeli] strike and … did not know about it ahead of time.”

Israel’s government warned the U.S. about its operation minutes before conducting it. Iran is reportedly preparing to respond with an airstrike.

The Iranian government has pledged to seek revenge against Israel for the airstrikes, accusing Israel of “[breaching] all international conventions.”

Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, recently said that a response from Iran is expected, adding that his organization won’t “interfere in such decisions.”

“And after that, how Israel will behave, the region would enter in a new phase,” Nasrallah, who lives in hiding, said in a televised speech.

Hezbollah, which is said to be the most powerful militia in the Middle East, has not used its “primary arsenal” in its skirmishes with Israel along Lebanon’s southern border.
