Senate Confirms Anti-Israel Obama Official As Israel Ambassador

The U.S. Senate has officially confirmed an openly anti-Israel, pro-Iran official from the Obama administration as the new U.S. Ambassador to Israel.

In a vote of 53-43 on Tuesday, the Senate confirmed former Treasury Secretary Jack Lew as U.S. Ambassador to Israel — despite his previous support for President Barack Obama’s anti-Israel policies.

While Lew’s supporters defend him by pointing out that he is an observant Jew, his “record on Israel includes support for the kinds of policies that arguably weakened Israel and helped lead to the current crisis,” according to Breitbart News.

In a September report, the outlet explained that Lew “defended Obama’s attempt to create distance with Israel.”

As Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) explained during a recent interview on Fox News, Lew was responsible for pushing through the most “viciously antisemitic resolution” that the United Nations ever passed, which declared that Israel was “illegally occupying” a significant portion of Jerusalem — including the Western Wall.

Lew also backed the disastrous Iran Nuclear Deal, which allowed the terrorist-supporting nation to emerge as a nuclear power after a decade. His support for the deal also involved the Treasury Department’s unraveling of sanctions against the Iranian regime.

Lew has previously referred to the Iran Nuclear Deal as a “strong deal” and argued that “it will make our country safer, it will make our allies safer, and it will make the world safer.”

He has also attacked former President Donald Trump for moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, and has been very critical of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — who worked against many of Obama’s anti-Israel and pro-Iran policies.

All of the support for Iran from Lew and Obama has directly funded the activities of Iran’s terrorist proxies throughout the Middle East — with critics like Cruz asserting that the “billions” from the Iran Nuclear Deal “helped fund the Hamas death squads that murdered Israelis and Americans” during Hamas’ October 7 terrorist attack in Israel.

Lew will be replacing outgoing U.S. Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides, who “brought U.S.-Israel relations to a new low,” according to Breitbart News. Nides has also been referred to as the “arsonist-in-chief” for encouraging recent protests in Israel.
