Woke Professor Ordered To Complete Free Speech Training

A far-left professor at the University of Cincinnati has been ordered to complete free speech training after she was reported by a student who she had given a “zero” to simply for using the term “biological woman” in an assignment.

While 29-year-old adjunct professor Melanie Nipper admitted that the assignment was a “solid proposal,” she still gave the student a zero.

The student, Olivia Krolczyk, shared a video on TikTok about her assignment and the teacher’s unfair grading — including an image of the teacher’s remarks in the video. The student’s project proposal was about women’s rights in sports and delved into the issue of so-called “transgender women” in female sports — which clearly fit into the topic assigned by the professor, as she was told to pick a research topic on feminism.

“Olivia, this is a solid proposal. However, the terms ‘biological women’ are exclusionary and are not allowed in this course as they reinforce heteronormativity,” the remarks read. “Please reassess your topic and edit it to focus on women’s rights (not just ‘females’) and I’ll regrade.”

Krolczyk reported the teacher’s actions to the school, and her project proposal was ultimately regraded by a different professor — who gave her an “A.”

Nipper, who teaches the class titled “Gender in Popular Culture,” received an official reprimand from the school weeks after handing out the failing grade.

The Cincinnati Enquirer obtained a copy of the reprimand.

“To prevent any further violation of [the free speech] policy, you must complete training on the requirements of the Campus Free Speech Policy. Through the end of Academic Year 2024/2025, you must submit all syllabi to… me at least two weeks prior to the beginning of classes for review and approval,” the document stated, according to the outlet.

The reprimand went on to threaten Nipper with termination.

“Any other violations of UC policy may be subject to… termination,” the document continued, reminding the professor that her “employment may be terminated with or without cause.”

Nipper appealed the decision five days later, claiming that her “restriction on harmful speech” was “necessary to ensure a safe learning environment” and that “the topic itself was inappropriate as it targeted trans women as a source of oppression for cis women in sports.”

“Additionally, as the class has students that identify as gender non-conforming and/or trans, I felt it was necessary to educate her regarding inclusive language to ensure a safe learning environment for other students,” the professor added.

Krolczyk has continued to speak out on political issues on social media, despite the attacks against her by leftists and pro-LGBT activists.
