Trump Accuses Bragg Of ‘Election Interference’

On Tuesday, following his not-guilty plea, President Trump criticized Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, saying he “never thought anything like this could happen in America.”

After being arraigned at a Manhattan courthouse on Tuesday, former President Donald Trump spoke to a group of supporters that evening at Mar-a-Lago and claimed that Alvin Bragg’s case was brought solely to disrupt the upcoming 2024 election and urged for it to be dismissed without delay.

Trump claimed that the 2020 election cycle was akin to those of a developing nation, citing Hunter Biden’s laptop being dismissed as “Russian disinformation.”

“And now, this massive election interference at a scale never seen before in our country. Beginning with the radical left, George Soros-backed prosecutor Alvin Bragg of New York, who campaigned on the fact that he would ‘get President Trump, I gotta get him. I’m gonna get him.’ This is a guy campaigning. You want to get President Trump at any cost, and this before he knew anything about me. He didn’t know a thing about me. He was campaigning,” Trump said to the crowd.

“As it turns out, virtually everybody that has looked at this case, including RINOs and even hardcore Democrats, say there is no crime and that it should never have been brought. Never have been brought,” Trump continued. “Everybody, even people that aren’t big fans, have said that; they said this is not the right thing to do. It’s an insult to our country as the world is already laughing at us.”

Afterward, Trump labeled President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan as “the most embarrassing time in our country’s history” and charged him with enabling the military to become “woke at the top levels by trying to indoctrinate everyone down to the lowest ranking patriot.”

Trump condemned Biden and his Democratic allies for weakening the economy and permitting rampant crime. He pledged that if he wins the presidency again in 2024, the United States will become the world’s energy leader within six months, surpassing any other country by two-fold.

Trump also denounced the investigation against him by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, whom he referred to as “racist,” before resuming his criticism of Bragg’s case.

He said, “This fake case was brought only to interfere with the upcoming 2024 election. And it should be dropped immediately.” Then Trump demanded that Bragg step down from his position for “leaking” information about the indictment to the press prior to its unsealing on Tuesday.

Trump has now officially entered a plea of not guilty to 34 charges of first-degree falsifying business records linked to purported hush money payments made to actress Stormy Daniels.
