Suspect Arrested For Anti-Israel Vandalism At Miami Bagel Shop

Kenneth Guerrero, 28, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly vandalizing a Miami bagel and pizza shop with anti-Israel graffiti. Guerrero is accused of defacing Holy Bagels & Pizzeria on June 16 by spray-painting political messages on the building and a flag.

Police identified Guerrero as the suspect from security footage that captured the vandalism. He was stopped at NW 2nd Avenue around 9:15 a.m. on June 16, wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a white Foundation Skateboards logo, the same attire seen in the footage. Guerrero faces charges of felony criminal mischief exceeding $1,000 in damage and a hate crime enhancement.

According to the arrest report, Guerrero spray-painted “Free Palestine Stop Genocide” on the shop’s entrance and defaced a flag with “Free Palestine” after tearing it down. The US and Israeli flag displayed the message “Stand With Israel.”

Chief of Police Manuel Morales underscored the city’s commitment to combating hate crimes. “The arrest of Kenneth Guerrero for the antisemitic vandalism at Holy Bagels & Pizzeria serves as a reminder that we will not tolerate such despicable acts of hate,” Morales said. “We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure our community remains safe and inclusive.”

These arrests highlight the efforts of Miami law enforcement to address and prevent targeted crimes like this, ensuring that the city remains a welcoming place for all residents.
