Rubio Slams The Left For Double Standards On Threats Of Violence

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) called out the left for their double standards regarding threats of violence toward members of the FBI — asking where their outrage was when there were threats being made against the lives of conservative Supreme Court justices following the leaking of the early opinion draft indicating that the court was poised to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Rubio began by condemning threats of violence against any members of the FBI, stating that anyone who threatens “violence over the Mar-A- Lago raid should be arrested.”

“But where was the outrage & condemnation from the left & many in the media when the threats were against Supreme Court justices over the abortion ruling?” the Florida senator asked.

Rubio was referring to the repeated threats of violence against conservative Supreme Court justices, which came as a radical pro-abortion group doxxed the addresses of the justices. After their locations were posted online, illegal protests were held outside of the justices’ homes, violating the law which prohibits demonstrations intended to influence or intimidate a judge. During the same time period, acts of vandalism against pro-life centers and churches were also occurring.

These actions by radical pro-abortion activists escalated, leading to one man crossing the country and allegedly attempting to kill Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh — arriving outside of his home with burglary tools, a handgun, a knife, and pepper spray.

The man, 26-year-old Nicholas Roske, has been charged with attempted murder.

Roske ultimately turned himself in to authorities rather than following through with his plan, telling police that he was motivated to try to kill Kavanaugh by the leak of the early opinion draft overturning Roe.

The attempted assassination prompted sharp calls to action from conservative lawmakers, but the close call apparently was not enough to convince authorities to crack down on the illegal protests outside of the justices’ homes.

On Monday, Rubio also called out the FBI for their handling of the attacks on churches and pro-life groups (at least 66 Catholic churches and 63 pro-life groups and pregnancy centers were targeted, according to information from CatholicVote trackers).

“The FBI isn’t doing anything about the groups vandalizing Catholic Churches, firebombing Pro-Life groups or threatening Supreme Court justices,” the Florida senator said in a tweet. “But they find time to raid Mar A Lago.”

The FBI previously told The Daily Wire that, while it would not comment regarding investigations of specific groups, the bureau is “investigating a series of attacks and threats targeting pregnancy resource centers and faith-based organizations across the country.”

On Wednesday, according to The Daily Wire, the bureau added, “The incidents are being investigated as potential acts of domestic violent extremism, FACE Act violations, or violent crime matters, depending on the facts of each case.”

In a recent appearance on Fox News, Rubio predicted the next step for the left in their continued weaponization of federal law enforcement. According to the senator, after using the federal agencies to target their political opponents, the FBI may begin to target the supporters of their political opponents.
