Poll Finds Muslim Voters Divided Between Harris And Stein

A new survey from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) shows that Kamala Harris and Jill Stein are neck and neck among Muslim voters, with Stein holding a slight lead at 42% support compared to Harris’ 41%. President Donald Trump has garnered 10% of the Muslim vote, while 5.4% say they will not vote, and 0.6% back Libertarian candidate Chase Oliver.

The CAIR poll, conducted from October 30 to October 31, surveyed 1,449 Muslim voters and has a margin of error of +/-2.5%. It reveals a highly engaged Muslim voter base, with 95% indicating they intend to participate in the upcoming election.

Nihad Awad, CAIR’s National Executive Director, noted that American policies toward Gaza are a major factor for Muslim voters in 2024. Awad emphasized the importance of voter turnout, encouraging Muslims to exercise their right and influence this election.

Stein’s vice-presidential pick, Butch Ware, may be appealing to this voter base. Ware, a Black Muslim professor at the University of California Santa Barbara, has called Zionism a “white supremacist” movement. His views have likely drawn attention within the Muslim community.

CAIR’s close poll numbers between Harris and Stein highlight the split in Muslim voter preference as Election Day draws near. CAIR has urged all Muslim voters to show up at the polls and make their voices heard in states across the country.
