Nikki Haley Accused Of Plotting Convention Coup Against Trump

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) may be planning a coup to seize the Republican presidential nomination from Donald Trump at the party’s national convention in July.
Speculation about Haley’s intentions have been fueled by social media posts from her brother Mitti Randhawa who seemingly confirmed the existence of a “serious movement” to challenge Trump in Milwaukee.

The controversy began when Randhawa posted a photo on X, formerly known as Twitter, with the caption “The support is real! Nikki Haley for President! Milwaukee here we come!”
Investigative journalist Laura Loomer saw the post and asked if Haley was “planning a coup against Trump at the convention” to which Randhawa replied “Yup what the actual hell! Deal with it. It’s happening Sis!”

Haley is coming from a recent meeting with former donors in Charleston, South Carolina. While Haley claimed the event was to express gratitude, some fear she may have pitched an anti-Trump plan to cause chaos at the convention.

The Trump campaign reportedly contacted Haley’s team about Randhawa’s posts but a staffer only replied snarkily, stating, “I’m sure the Trump family has done the same to Nikki Haley.”

Haley has not formally endorsed Trump leading to concerns among Republican leaders that she intends to sabotage the presumptive nominee.
