California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) made sure he took advantage of the opportunity to raise campaign funds as a result of this week’s leak of a Supreme Court opinion indicating Roe v. Wade is in trouble of being overturned this summer. However, a post he made to Twitter to claiming anyone who opposes unlimited access to abortions is “extremist” backfired when he made the assumption that men cannot get pregnant.
Newsom was taking what he must have thought was an easy shot at pro-life Americans by presenting the common sexist meme used by progressives that if men could get prenant, abortion would instantly become legal. The governor seems to have forgotten that we have been assured in recent years that men do in fact get pregnant. His own website presents the idea as a scientific fact.
After Newsom’s comments on Wednesday, conservatives immediately ridiculed him for forgetting to adhere to the progressive dogma regarding transexual men.
Media pundit Brittany Hughes noted how quickly leftists “abandon their non-binary soapbox” as soon as it is not necessesary to score a cheap political point. “It’s all political theater with these fools,” she wrote.
Conservative radio host Sebastian Gorka called Newsom “Governor Transphobe” in mocking the language used by genderism culture warriors when referring to anyone who fails to use their approved terminology in describing the biological sexes.
Corporate “wokism” has seen companies like Apple join in with the crowd claiming that men now are capable of becoming pregnant. The tech giant has released an emoji on its platforms depicting a male character showing late-term pregnancy.
Joe Biden’s nominee for the Supreme Court, Ketanji Jackson, was asked during her Senate confirmation hearings earlier this year what the definition of the word “woman” is by Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN). Jackson famously responded by giving a Harvard-approved progressive response. She explained that she could not define what a woman is because she is “not a biologist.”
In his zeal to drum up some political frenzy among his base in advance of this year’s midterm campaign season, Newsom forgot himself long enough to let an obvious biological truth slip out.
