New Report: Communist China Working Alongside Mexican Cartels To Get Fentanyl Into US

In an interview with News Nation anchor Leland Vittert, a former State Department official discussed how Mexican drug cartels work alongside China in the drug trade.

During the Monday episode of “On Balance,” host Leland Vittert revealed that Mexican drug cartels have been working with communist China to get fentanyl into the United States.

Vittert interviewed former State Department official David Asher concerning the disturbing news.

“You got to understand that none of this could work without the Chinese government’s involvement. So we’re not just dealing with drug cartels and the Chinese Triad, which are the version of drug cartels in China,” Asher stated.

“We’re dealing with the Chinese Ministry of State Security, the United Front part of the Communist Party; they are organizing the fentanyl shipments to Mexico,” the former State Department official added. “At some level, they are involved in manufacturing, and doing it with the goal of killing American kids… And then they’re having Chinese students in the U.S. pick up the [drug] money.”

Mexican news outlet El Pais reports that a disturbing trend has been developing as fentanyl seizures have skyrocketed, reaching record-high levels just as a new version of the drug — rainbow fentanyl — has begun to elicit concerns among U.S. authorities.

According to Michael Humphries, a senior Customs and Border Protection officer, the colorful drug “looks like candy.”

Following a mid-August raid, CBP discovered over 250,000 pills in a vehicle entering the U.S. from Mexico. Just one day later, more than 15,000 rainbow fentanyl pills were found wrapped around a person’s legs after he was detained at the Nogales, Arizona, border crossing.

“This may signal a new tactic by transnational criminal organizations,” Humphries declared.

So far, rainbow fentanyl pills have been found in California, Oregon and Washington state.

“Deputies are particularly concerned about rainbow fentanyl getting into the hands of young adults or children, who mistake the drug for something else, such as candy or a toy,” a statement from the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office read following the seizure of approximately 800 fentanyl pills.

Asher also pointed to an even more outrageous and shocking discovery — the drug money acquired by China through the fentanyl trade is being laundered by purchasing U.S. real estate.

The former state department official explained that after Chinese students pick up the drug money, “that money is being taken by China, [the Chinese] are buying fentanyl precursor chemicals, shipping them to Mexico, and then the Chinese are taking their take in the United States and buying real estate on the back end.”

Essentially, “the money launders itself,” Asher added.
