Liz Cheney’s Husband Works The Law Firm Representing Hunter Biden

The spouse of defeated congresswoman Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) is a partner at the legal company now defending Hunter Biden.

According to his business profile, Philip Perry has been employed by Latham & Watkins since 2007. His primary areas of expertise are white-collar matters, corporate litigation and Supreme Court cases.

According to the New York Post’s Chris Clark, another partner at Latham, has been serving as Hunter Biden’s attorney since December 2020; however, Cheney’s husband’s position at the company was not revealed to the public until recently.

According to documents from the Federal Election Commission, Latham is a major player in the Democratic party. Company lawyers and other workers contributed more than $500,000 to President Biden’s campaign during the 2020 presidential election — Clark himself contributed the sum of $3,800.

On the page of Clark’s business, the work that he did for the first son is prominently featured. The profile also says that Clark represented Hunter in a jury probe addressing tax difficulties.

In the past, the tight links that the company has to the Democratic party have been the subject of investigation.

Nicholas McQuaid, another Latham partner, was appointed to lead the Justice Department’s criminal division on President Biden’s first day in office. At the same time, the Justice Department was conducting an investigation into Hunter, and this appointment earned President Biden a written rebuke from Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ron Johnson (R-WI).

Cheney, who was originally elected to the state’s single House seat in 2016, had her political popularity at home collapse when she became an ardent opponent of Trump and strongly supported the impeachment of the former president.

A representative for Liz Cheney told The Post that Mr. Perry does not play any part in any investigation or investigation that involves Hunter Biden.
