Lawyers’ Push To Block Trump Certification Is A Betrayal Of Voters

Two leftist lawyers have called on Congress to reject President-elect Donald Trump’s certification, claiming he is disqualified under the 14th Amendment. Evan Davis and David Schulte’s arguments lack legal foundation and amount to a betrayal of the American voters who elected Trump.

The lawyers allege Trump engaged in “insurrection” based on three weak points. They cite his second impeachment trial, which resulted in acquittal, as evidence of guilt.

They also highlight the Colorado Supreme Court’s disqualification of Trump, a ruling invalidated by the U.S. Supreme Court, which affirmed that states lack authority to disqualify federal candidates.

Finally, they reference the discredited January 6 Committee, whose findings have been challenged by evidence of procedural violations and false testimony. Critics argue that the committee’s conclusions lack credibility.

Davis and Schulte propose using the Electoral Count Act to nullify Trump’s electoral votes and install Kamala Harris as president. This scheme twists constitutional provisions to deny Americans their chosen leader.

The House Oversight Committee has already debunked many claims made by the January 6 Committee, finding no evidence that Trump incited violence or had foreknowledge of the Capitol events.
