Homeless Being Booted From London Hotel For Beyonce Tour

The clock is ticking for dozens of homeless families sheltering in a north London hotel. Each of them is being evicted at the end of the month in preparation for Beyonce’s Renaissance world tour.

The Guardian reported at least 30 families will be shown the door from the Travelodge in Enfield and moved to a temporary location. The reason? Their rooms are booked by fans in town for the singer’s five-night stay at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

She recently made celebrity news with her acquisition of a $177 million mansion in Malibu.

According to reports, about two-thirds of the hotel’s rooms are currently bought by the local north London council. This is due to the housing crisis created by the area’s explosive intake of illegal migrants entering the U.K.

The government is even offering long-term leases to private landlords to accommodate the massive influx.

Many of the hotel rooms are being occupied by several individuals or family members. The accommodations were granted to people who reported themselves to authorities as homeless.

According to the Guardian, the hotel will only book rooms for 28 days at a time. The local council did not extend the booking for the homeless families, and Beyonce fans quickly grabbed the available rooms.

One mother, 42-year-old Collette Collington, told the outlet that she lives in a single room with her four-year-old daughter and two-year-old twin autistic sons. She called the move “distressing” and difficult for her two youngest children.

She said that “every environment we go into, it takes time for them to settle in. They have to be in the same routine.”

An Enfield council spokesperson told the media that officials are working to find “other suitable accommodation with as little disruption as possible.” They added that they continue to call for a national response to “the fundamental shortfall of affordable housing.”

Meanwhile, Beyonce and her entrepreneur husband Jay Z are well known for their support of leftists politicians. Both have thrown their fortunes behind Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden in recent years. They also funded the Black Lives Matter movement.

They just days ago completed the purchase of the most expensive home in California history.
