Top Republican on the House Oversight Committee Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said on Friday that if he becomes chair of the panel, his top priority will be investigating Dr. Anthony Fauci, Hunter Biden and the southern border crisis.
Appearing on “Jesse Watters Primetime,” guest host Pete Hegseth asked Comer what his top three agenda items would be if appointed chairman.

“Obviously, Biden family influence-peddling because we believe this is a national security risk,” said Comer. “We believe a lot of the bad decisions Joe Biden has made is because he’s compromised because of Hunter and his brother’s shady business dealings.”
Comer then touched on Dr. Fauci’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, expressing his belief that government health officials were deliberately withholding information and sabotaging investigations.
“We also want to get to the bottom of the origination of Covid-19. We believe that Dr. Fauci and Dr. Collins took steps to hinder investigations early on. We don’t think they’ve been honest with how they’ve spent a lot of tax dollars, especially when they went to the Wuhan lab.”
Comer also said he has proof from whistleblowers that Department of Homeland Security head Alejandro Mayorkas ordered border officials to “stand down.”

“And then the border, the debacle at the border,” began Comer with an accurate assessment. “We already have whistleblowers that have come forward from Border Patrol that have told us specific conversations they’ve had with Mayorkas, where he is specifically telling them to stand down.”
“Those will be the top three investigations for the Republican Congress and the House Oversight Committee,” finished Comer.
