Freedom Caucus PAC Channel Shut Down By YouTube Without Warning

YouTube has banned the channel of House Freedom Action (HFA), a super PAC aligned with the House Freedom Caucus, claiming violations of its rules against “Spam, deceptive practices and scams.” The sudden decision, made without prior warning, has sparked backlash from conservatives.

Visitors to the HFA channel are met with an error message stating the page is unavailable. YouTube claimed the move was necessary “to protect our community” but offered little explanation for the removal. The platform provided HFA with an opportunity to appeal.

HFA’s channel was used to share political ads, particularly during the fall elections, where the group targeted left-wing candidates. Allison Weisenberger, political director of HFA, denounced the move as politically motivated, linking it to Democratic attorney Marc Elias, who has previously attempted to censor HFA’s ads.

“The truth hurts,” Weisenberger said. “YouTube had no problem taking our money during the elections, but now they’ve caved to pressure and silenced us.”

YouTube, owned by Google, has long faced criticism from conservatives for alleged bias. With both platforms ranking as the two most-visited websites globally, critics argue their actions have outsized influence on political discourse.

The removal of the HFA channel underscores growing concerns about the power of Big Tech and its ability to suppress content that challenges left-leaning narratives. Many conservatives are calling for alternative platforms and regulatory measures to counteract this trend.
