Florida Governor Delivers The Ultimate “Checkmate” To Critics

During the Trump presidency, Democrats drove themselves into insanity due to their rage and loathing for the 45th president. The bizarre and disturbing rhetoric from these people daily was quickly coined as “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

However, with Trump no longer in the White House, Democrats have quickly found another target to project their loathing towards. As it turns out, that target is none other than Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis.

Over the past 18 months, DeSantis’ successful leadership in Florida has skyrocketed his popularity. Americans have been flocking to the Sunshine, both to live and visit. Under DeSantis’ leadership, Florida’s furthermore gone from being a purple state to a red state with more Republican voters registered than Democrats.

In light of DeSantis’ rise, leftists are fuming and throwing out anything they believe will stick against the Florida governor. As Fox News reports, DeSantis is now punching back and just delivered the ultimate “checkmate.”

During the holidays, anti-DeSantis folks began stating that the governor was “missing” amid the massive surge in Omicron. Critics declared DeSantis should not disappear from the public eye as the virus was spreading, despite all the vaccinations that health officials said would end the pandemic.

However, as usual, Democrats leaped before looking, and it backfired on them. During a Fox News interview with Sean Hannity on Monday, the Florida governor stated that he’d been taking his wife, Casey DeSantis, to her cancer treatments and noted these trips are far from a vacation.

After noting the importance of being a supportive husband, DeSantis called out the hypocrisy of Democrats like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who trash Florida for not being a lockdown state, yet then go to Florida for a vacation during the holidays.

If Democrats truly believed their remarks about DeSantis and Florida, they wouldn’t be coming down to the state in droves for vacations.

In light of Ocasio-Cortez’s frequent censure against Florida and its governor, some people questioned why she didn’t choose to spend the holidays in New York, the state she’s from, and a state with all the mandates she advocates for.

As typical for leftists, the congresswoman says one thing and does the opposite entirely. At this point, it boils down to nothing more than the personification of both hypocrisy and hubris.

Since DeSantis explained his perceived absence, his critics have suddenly become very quiet.
