An elderly man was viciously attacked by two radicals at a Vancouver protest demanding the return of masking mandates at medical facilities. The victim was unmasked and simply carried a sign confirming that fact.
The leftist mainstream media called it a “fight.” Two people attacking one and throwing him to the ground is an attack, but that doesn’t fit the narrative of radicals who will not rest until everyone is once again masked and locked down.
The counter protester, identified as Rob, was struck and knocked to the ground as others present grabbed his signage. One read, “CBC is gov. funded media.”
This is in Vancouver during a protest to bring back masks. Looks like the guy got attacked for not having a mask on, these people are certifiably insane. pic.twitter.com/VZY3Feeq2q

Having an opposing point of view on COVID-19 restrictions was apparently too much for the protesters to handle. In their quest to return to mandated masking, they found it necessary to pummel an old man into submission.
Rob told CityNews before being attacked that he and others were there to resist any request to return to mask mandates. “I’ve never worn a mask,” he said, “and I will continue not to wear a mask because I think it’s still illegal.”
It is difficult to imagine even hardcore leftists organizing a demonstration to support a return to draconian COVID-related restrictions, but there it was.
A group called “Do No Harm” based in British Columbia put the protest together to call for “evidence-based safety measures in high-risk settings.”
The group posted on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, that “hospitals should be masking and vulnerable lives are still worth protecting.”
For weeks now, conservatives have warned of momentum building toward a return to vaccine requirements and mask mandates. Big government advocates will not be satisfied until intrusive lockdowns are reinstated and free people are required to roll up their sleeves.
Right on cue, some U.S. institutions announced a return to masking requirements. There has been a recent uptick in COVID-19 cases cited by officials as two new variants emerge.
According to the World Health Organization there is now EG.5 which bears watching. Also, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that another variant, BA.2.86, has now been found in the U.S.
Of course, flu season is coming so there will be many more chances for a misdiagnosis.
