Democrats Working To Resurrect “Defund the Police” Movement

The movement to defund the police has not worked out well for America. It also hasn’t worked out for the Democrat leaders and activists who were the architects of this movement.

In countless cities that opted to defund police last year, crime is reaching all-time highs. Meanwhile, as Democrats defund the police, they’re releasing criminals from jails, on top of doing away with cash bail to hold these offenders ahead of their trial dates.

As crime continues to skyrocket, there are some Democrats who are now trying to distance themselves from the defunding of the police movement covertly. Earlier this year, the White House even tried to claim that conservatives were the faithful supporters of doing away with police; needless to say, everyone knew this was a lie.

As time passes, though, some members of the Democrat Party appear eager to resurrect the movement to defund police, as documented by Breitbart News.

At this time, America is months away from the 2022 midterms that will determine the power balance in the federal government. Left-wing congressional groups like the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) make new hires.

One of the latest hires by the DCCC is none other than RaeAnn Ensworth. In light of everything known about left-wing policies and beliefs, it shouldn’t come as a shock that Ensworth is a huge advocate of not only defunding the police but also abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

These views are typical for the hard-left radicalism that has taken over the Democrat Party of today. Naturally, the ideas espoused by Ensworth have engendered backlash. The new DCCC hire has since taken the liberty of putting her Twitter account in a private setting.

Meanwhile, the DCCC has not come out and disavowed their latest hire’s remarks about police and ICE in the United States. It sent an unmistakable message about the values of the Democrat Party in 2021.

Certain factions of the Democrat Party want to do away with anything that remotely resembles law enforcement in America. However, other sections of the Democrat Party are, at the very least, not openly wanting to talk about this due to the negative politics of it all.

At this point, it’s a toss-up as to whether or not Democrats will succeed in persuading the party to get back behind the movement to dismantle law enforcement.

The movement to defund the police has already done Democrats enough damage. However, for the sake of appeasing their increasingly radical base, Democrats may decide to overlook the blowback this movement has brought their way.
