It is not uncommon to hear members of the Democrat Party claim that all the ills of society would cease to exist if only the wealthy 1% paid what Democrats call “their fair share” in tax dollars.
The argument here is that the wealthy have so much that they should be willing to give more so that other people have a chance at success. What Democrats don’t mention, though, is that even amongst the wealthy 1%, there isn’t enough money to pay for all the stupid proposals they want to pass.
This month, Tesla CEO Elon Musk was named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year. This upset Democrat Sen. Elizabeth Warren. She, therefore, took to Twitter, declaring that there need to be some adjustments made to the US tax code so that folks like Musk can pay their fair share and cease freeloading.
As it turns out, Elon Musk had some thoughts about this as well, and, as noted by TheBlaze, he didn’t hesitate to respond to Warren.
First, Musk responded to Warren’s tweet where she called him a “freeloader” by reminding the Democrat senator of the false, debunked claims she made about being a Native American.
Shortly after that, the Tesla CEO said Warren reminds him of a childhood friend’s mom who randomly and habitually shouted at people for no apparent reason. Finally, Musk also sent out another tweet, referring to Warren as “Senator Karen” and sarcastically asking her not to report him to the manager.
Thus far, Warren has not responded. It’s unclear what exactly prompted her to go after Musk in the first place. Nevertheless, this wouldn’t be the first time Musk has sparred with various members of the Democrat Party.
Earlier this year, Elon Musk tweeted at Bernie Sanders, stating that he consistently struggles to remember the Vermont senator is still alive. Furthermore, Musk also declared earlier this year that Joe Biden seems to harbor hostility towards Tesla due to Biden’s longtime affinity for unions in America.
The lie perpetrated by Warren that higher taxes on the wealthy mean a better quality of life for those not on top is ridiculous. Granted, Democrats consistently say they want other people to have a chance at success, other than wealthy folks.
However, Democrats simultaneously use every chance they get to demonize and go after successful individuals with economic resources. The hypothetical folks who Democrats claim to be fighting for are the very folks who would later find themselves in left-wing crosshairs, should they succeed and make something of themselves.
It is time for Democrats like Elizabeth Warren to cease vilifying success.
