Cruz: Whistleblower Allegations Could ‘Absolutely’ Lead To Impeaching Biden

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) appeared on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity” to discuss the recent whistleblower allegations against President Joe Biden, arguing that Congress could impeach the president if the allegations are found to be true.

A whistleblower has come forward to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) asserting that the FBI is in possession of an FD-1023 form that details an arrangement between a “foreign national” and then-Vice President Biden involving “an exchange of money for policy decisions.”

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) has since issued a subpoena demanding that FBI Director Christopher Wray hand over all FD-1023s that contain the word “Biden” — along with all accompanying attachments and documents.

When asked by host Sean Hannity whether the FBI possessing information about these allegations could amount to “a high crime and misdemeanor,” Cruz stated that “it absolutely would.”

The Texas senator then pointed out that bribery is “explicitly noted in the Constitution” as a reason for impeaching the president.

“I gotta say, the evidence, not only against Hunter Biden, but the evidence against Joe Biden being complicit and profiting from this corruption is growing, and growing, and growing,” Cruz added.

He also discussed the allegations against the president’s son, pointing out that Hunter Biden being convicted of the small crimes he is being accused of will only serve to strengthen the Democrats’ claims that the GOP is unfairly targeting the Biden family.

“If they indict [Hunter] just for the gun crime, or just for a tax crime, they’re going to try to explain it as ‘he’s a troubled soul, he’s got substance abuse issues, but look how fair we are, and now we can go target Donald Trump,’ which is what the Biden Department of Justice really wants to do,” Cruz said.

The Republican senator then described the more serious allegations against Hunter Biden, noting that these should be the crimes that GOP investigations focus on because Joe Biden is involved.

Cruz emphasized that, “if they focus on individual crimes to Hunter, and they seal off what makes this a matter of public concern, which is the connection to Joe Biden, the millions Hunter made selling access to daddy when he was vice president. He made it from Burisma, the Ukrainian natural gas company, he made it from communist China, 10 percent for the Big Guy, and Merrick Garland, Biden’s attorney general, does not want to get near the growing and growing evidence of corruption going straight to the President of the United States.”
