President Joe Biden’s administration has been projecting weakness around the world and it’s led to many tragedies that can’t be undone, such as the withdrawal from Afghanistan and, of course, the crisis at our southern border.
With all of the conflicts going on around the world, the importance of securing the border is paramount to stopping dangerous migrants and terrorists from entering into the country.
What’s happening on the southern border is disgraceful. Border Patrol Agents have battled coyotes and drug cartels long before Biden was elected, but the policies he has changed has allowed the violence to continue.
National Correspondent for Fox News Bill Melugin, tweeted, “NEW: Video from @TxDPS shows a suspected cartel gunman aiming an AK-47 at their helicopter from MX as it was patrolling in Starr County, TX in the RGV on Wednesday. This is the same area where the cartel has shot at Border Patrol from across the river in recent months. @FoxNews.”
Remember that Biden has already sent Border Patrol Agents to assist Ukrainians fleeing their country. It’s not that Ukrainians aren’t important or going through a crisis, but the President of the United States has a direct duty to make sure the border is secure from invasion.
The Constitution says, “The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.”
Is that not clear enough?
After the video, Melugin tweeted that the Mexican government was contacted and after they confronted the group, there were “5 suspected cartel killed, 4 arrested, several rifles [and] red car recovered.”
The gun fights have been happening more frequently and recently there were explosions and gun fights just across the border in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and it’s likely that the cause was the arrest of a cartel leader.
The cartel is getting bolder and braver because of the decisions of the Biden administration. This isn’t over; we can expect it to get worse.
