Biden’s Energy Policies Have Backfired Yet Again

Joe Biden will undoubtedly go down in history as an anti-energy president. Since setting foot into the White House over one year ago, Biden’s done everything he could to dismantle energy independence.

Thanks to Biden blocking permits for drilling and cutting down pipelines, the American energy sector is hanging on by a thread. This is why gas prices are getting higher and higher, thus making transportation less and less affordable for the middle class and working class.

With gas prices hurting Democrats in the polls, the Biden administration is getting desperate and more scared of the approaching midterms. According to The Federalist, one key measure the White House is trying to employ has ironically been sabotaged by Biden himself.

A Harder Time with Importing Canadian Oil

In the wake of high energy prices, the Biden administration is investigating ways to increase the oil coming in from Canada. Yet, the irony of this is that last January, the White House shut down the Keystone XL pipeline.

As it turns out, this pipeline played a very huge role in transferring 830,00 different oil barrels from Canada to the United States. With this pipeline gone, America’s oil supply is diminished at the worst possible time.

In the wake of this news, the Biden administration is again being called out for the destruction it brought to America’s energy sector. The problems people are facing today with energy costs are exactly why there was so much opposition to Biden’s cancellation of Keystone XL pipeline.

Republicans and even a few moderate Democrats urged Biden to reverse his shutdown of the pipeline last year; yet, thus far, the president has yet to make this move.

An Easy Solution to Lowering Energy Costs

If the Biden administration is serious about getting more Canadian oil into the United States, there is an easy solution.

That solution involves bringing back the Keystone XL pipeline. Not only would the return of this pipeline get more oil into America, but it would also restore jobs to thousands of people put out of work when Keystone XL shut down.

After the pipeline was closed by the White House, thousands of people were promised green jobs that have yet to come forth. Now, in today’s economy, there is no shortage of folks who need employment opportunities.

Unfortunately, Americans shouldn’t hold their breath waiting for the Biden administration to bring back the Keystone XL pipeline. Despite what this White House claims to want, it’s shown complete unwillingness to take real action that actually benefits this country.
