Biden Voters Regret Supporting the President in 2020

As President Joe Biden continues to drive the country into chaos, more and more former supporters are beginning to turn on the president, expressing regret over their decision in the 2020 presidential election.

During the year and a half the 79-year-old Biden has been in office, the United States has taken a considerable turn for the worse, said three former Biden supporters during an interview with Fox News. Regressive energy policies have cultivated sky-high gas prices, unchecked government spending has driven inflation to the highest levels in decade, and Biden’s nonexistent leadership has weakened the country’s standing on the world stage.

Mikaela Stekly, a homeless single mother who voted for Biden, said part of the problem was the mainstream media’s misleading characterizations of Biden and former President Trump in the lead-up to the 2020 contest.

“I feel like I’ve been lied to by the media telling us Biden is the answer to all of the country’s problems,” Stekly said. “And they made Trump kind of the bad guy in the media, but things were a lot better when he was president.”

Chris McCullough, a black Biden supporter, also laid blame on the media, telling Fox that he had been “programmed” to believe voting Democratic was the only option for African Americans.

“I was programmed, in a sense, with that Democratic-savior type of situation. That’s how Biden comes across — as black people’s savior,” McCullough said. “I thought that Republicans weren’t for people of color — they were just for rich white people. That’s how the media portrays it to be. I found out that that’s the furthest thing from the truth.”

Nationwide polling largely supports the testimony of former Biden supporters, showing the president’s approval rating has cratered to an abysmal 33%. A New York Times-Siena College poll found that 64% of Democratic voters don’t want Biden to run for reelection in 2024.

The poll also found that just 13% of Americans believe the country is heading in the right direction. Of the Democrats polled, only 26% expressed the desire that the party renominate Biden in 2024. Those who said they wanted a different nominee cited Biden’s age and job performance as the main reasons.
