Biden Administration Ramps Up Persecution Of Elon Musk

Congressional Democrats issued a call for a federal investigation of Elon Musk’s SpaceX over allegations of unsafe working conditions. A Reuters investigation asserted that there were at least 600 unreported work-related injuries at SpaceX, including one death.

President Joe Biden’s White House has been extremely critical of Musk over issues ranging from unionizing Tesla’s workforce to content on social media platform X, formerly Twitter. Federal prosecutors also subpoenaed Tesla for data on partially automated driving systems.

If you don’t play ball with the Biden administration, it is certain that the Democrat’s weaponized federal government will come calling.

The Reuters report, released on Nov. 10, claimed workers suffered crushed limbs, amputations and head injuries along with the fatality. It concluded the injury rate was much higher than the space industry standard.

One of the Democrats in pursuit of Musk is Rep. Zoe Lofgren of California. The ranking member of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, she called the Reuters report “deeply concerning.”

Rep. Mark Takano (D-CA) slammed SpaceX for “horrific and frequent violations.” He urged accountability for the company, which has received $11.8 billion from NASA as a private contractor.

Yet another Democrat, Rep. Donald Norcross of New Jersey, said the injuries are “alarming and certainly a cause for concern.”

While that number on the surface appears to be high, it is worth noting that Biden’s weaponized federal government clearly has its sights set on Musk’s many enterprises. Subpoenas were issued last month for electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla by the Department of Justice.

In a filing, Tesla officials said the DOJ is examining “personal benefits, related parties, vehicle range and personnel decisions” related to the partially automated driving systems.

Legal experts said the federal government apparently does not believe it is getting full cooperation from Tesla.

In January, it was revealed the Justice Department asked for materials related to Autopilot and “Full Self-Driving” features on some models. Both are listed as driver-assist systems and the company states that the vehicles are not self-driving.

Still, Democrats persist in going after the most innovative mind in the U.S. and the driving force behind much current technology. Musk’s purchase of X, formerly Twitter, and his commitment to free speech dismayed many leftists accustomed to government control over social media platforms.

If SpaceX is truly operating in unsafe conditions, that should be addressed. But it may also be just another case of utilizing Washington’s might to tear down Biden’s enemies.
