In a series of tweets, Robbins expressed disappointment in the mainstream media for ignoring censorship issues and diminishing the personal freedoms of Americans. He targeted Democratic Representatives Jerry Nadler, Hakeem Jeffries, and Stacey Plaskett for threatening journalist Matt Taibbi with prosecution and imprisonment. Robbins said, “What an embarrassing, shameful time for the Democrats and the ‘free’ press. You are losing any shred of credibility you had, you f***ing fools.”

The Hollywood actor also called for the release of Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks. Assange is currently imprisoned on charges that he published information provided to him by a source with access to classified information.

He said, “I’ve always been curious about what goes on in leaders’ heads when they have to do something morally compromising for what they consider the greater good.” The actor questioned whether such measures, often involving censorship, lying, or deception, are truly necessary.

He explained that his role in the series was inspired by leaders’ “questionable choices” during the pandemic. The actor also expressed concern about the loss of freedom during the pandemic, such as the lack of freedom of movement, assembly, and speech.
The veteran actor emphasized the importance of collective gatherings in a free society, allowing people to work through their differences.
